We are looking for compassionate, calm, and resilient carers to support a young woman with complex mental health needs to live a full and meaningful life. This is a rewarding role where you will help build confidence, encourage independence, and provide consistent emotional support in a safe and positive way.
This role is about supporting her to enjoy everyday life and the things she loves, whether that is shopping, cooking, spending time with family, getting out for a drive, or enjoying anything animal-related. She is bubbly, chatty, and enjoys being around carers who are warm, relaxed, and easy to talk to.
You will never be working alone, as this is a 2:1 package, meaning you will always work alongside another carer on shift.
There is no personal care involved. This role is focused on building trust, supporting emotional wellbeing, and helping her feel safe, settled, and empowered in daily life
The Role
• 2:1 care package
• 12-hour shifts, 12pm–12am
• Always double-handed – work alongside another carer at all times
• Multiple positions available
• Based in Bodmin
What We’re Looking For
• Experience in mental health or complex care is preferred
• The right person matters most – calm, compassionate, reliable, and willing to learn
• Female carers preferred
• Drivers preferred due to community access and future location change
• Non-drivers may be considered when paired with a driver
• Able to work alternate weekends
What You’ll Be Doing
• Supporting mental health and emotional wellbeing
• Building a trusting, positive relationship
• Encouraging independence with day-to-day routines
• Supporting with cooking, activities, and getting out into the community
• Providing reassurance, structure, and consistent support at home and out and about
What We Offer
• Starting pay: £13.55 - £13.70 per hour
• Plus: Holiday pay, sick pay, pension contributions, and mileage at 40p per mile
• 28 days annual leave
• Monthly pay and pay reviews each April
